Between August and November a number of interactive ‘memory sessions’ was carried out by the artist Alda Terracciano and the community coordinator with members of the Brazilian, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Moroccan, and Portuguese communities living in London in order to stimulate and capture people’s responses to the artwork. The artist engaged the participants in a conversation about their notions of ‘home’, migration, urban environment and its connections to the senses – including gestures, smells, and tastes characteristic of the places. The results ae currently exhibited at Rich Mix (East London) (between the 3rd and the 27th of January 2013) and they are available online on the Living Archaeology of the Place website.
